You can now write clearly in 6 languages and translate instantly across 19 languages without ever leaving your workflow.
The way we work, learn, and connect has never been more global than it is today. Teams collaborate across continents, universities support diverse student populations, and businesses serve customers worldwide. Clear communication is the thread that ties it all together, and it goes far beyond English.
That’s why we’re expanding Grammarly’s trusted writing support to more languages beyond English. Whether you’re a Spanish-speaking student, a French marketer, or a business leader coordinating with global teams, you can now write naturally in the language that best serves your audience—without switching tools or breaking your flow.
What’s new: Expanding communication support for a multilingual world
Nearly one in five people in the US speak more than one language, and millions of Grammarly users write in languages beyond English every day. Yet, until now, writing across languages has meant juggling translation tools, switching platforms, or second-guessing your tone.
That changes today. Thanks to continued advancements in large language models, Grammarly now brings its trusted writing support to more of the world’s most-spoken languages, so your message comes through clearly and confidently to any audience.
Here’s what’s available in this beta release:
- Grammar and spelling corrections in Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, and Italian—the same red underlines you know and trust from Grammarly when you’re writing in English
- Paragraph-level rewrites in the same five languages—helping you refine tone, style, and flow with one click
- In-line translation across 19 languages, so you can translate as you write in documents, emails, chats, and social posts—or wherever you’re typing

What’s coming next
This is just the beginning for expanded multilingual support. Later this year, Spanish speakers will see advanced clarity suggestions in the form of blue underlines (similar to what we offer in English), with other languages to follow in 2026.
Over time, we’ll also build multilingual writing support directly into the recently launched agents in docs, Grammarly’s new AI-native writing surface. That means you’ll be able to draft, edit, and refine your work in multiple languages without leaving the place where your ideas take shape.
As always, we’ll learn from user feedback during this beta period, continuously refining suggestions so that writing in any language feels seamless.
In a world increasingly filled with more automated and impersonal communication, we’re committed to extending our support to help people across geographies and languages connect more authentically.
