Could you tell me the meanings of the phrasal verb "call for" and examples  to explain clearly those meanings, please?

'To call for' means something verey similar to: 'to ask for'.


The structure is 'to call for something."


"The teacher called for entries into the spelling bee."


"That behaviour was uncalled for." (unwanted, unecessary)
