I just spent $59  w/Gramarly. I have a Mac. Didn't realize your program was only for Microsoft. May I have a refund please?

First, please read the instructions on the page where you posted this question. This is a forum for discussing English grammar and style. It is NOT for issues concerning the Grammarly service. There are no Grammarly employees here. For refunds, you must contact Grammarly Support -- there is a link at the bottom of this page.


Second, the Grammarly service -- for which you pay -- is a web-based service. You can use the service from any computer -- Windows, Mac, Linux, DOS, etc. -- that has an internet connection and a web browser. You do not need the Word plug-in (which only runs on Windows, because Microsoft stopped supporting Word macros on the Mac with Word 2008) to use the Grammarly service.


The Word plug-in merely streamlines the process of copying text from Word, opening your browser, opening the Grammarly page, and pasting the text into the Grammarly page. You can do all of this steps manually without much effort. In fact, I personally don't find the macro very useful.


Don't worry about the Windows plug-in. Go ahead and use the service on your Mac.
