Mentioning New Year in business emails


How long after Jan 1. do you mention New Year in an intro to a work email (e.g., "I hope 2011 treating you well)?

This is a matter of preference.  For me, I think it's OK to mention until the end of February if you say it as you mentioned above: "I hope 2011 is treating you well."


You can also say:  "I hope this year is off to a good start. . . "
