Is or Has?

Is it OK to us Is instead of Has in this sentence:

"Your greatest adventure is yet to begin!"

I think so.  The answer becomes clearer if you remove the word yet.  Obviously, it is OK to say:

"Your greatest adventure is to begin (tomorrow)."

In the same way, I think it is OK to use 'is' with 'yet', but the most correct in this form is likely 'has yet'.
