Conclusion or Summary
Once you’ve explained your point of view, you’ll need to end your text with a conclusion or summary. This should include the re-statement of your thesis and supporting points, and should remind the reader of the important points from the text.
The last sentence(s) of the conclusion should leave the reader thinking about what they’ve learned from reading your text and how it could be applied to further situations. Some formats allow the text to end with a pointed question which invites the reader to – in effect – head off and write their own essay.
