Where to Find Information
Where should you find this evidence? You have, essentially, two options:
- Library
- The internet
It doesn’t have to be the public library or the school library. If your great-aunt has an astounding private library in her attic, feel free to use any books which pertain to your thesis. Remember to think about your topic in broad terms: you may find information is different types of books (e.g. information on WWII may be found in a history of Poland or Germany, or a sociology book).
If you’re using the internet, search engines each have their own way of searching. Remember to change the key words or search formula as appropriate (look in the Help section if you’re not sure how to search that specific engine or database). Even within the same search engine, using a different word or a different arrangement of words may bring up new information.
