Cause and Effect
A common pattern of organization in academic texts is cause-and-effect, or how one thing makes another thing happen. Some texts will be done in two sections: one on cause and one on effect. Other texts will examine the cause(s) and effect(s) of several points in each paragraph.
Because of the proven detrimental effects of Austen’s works on students’ writing, the books were removed from the curriculum.
To give release to their new-found warrior-like behaviors, the young men of the society separated into gang-like groups and maintained a vigilant watch over the town.
