Compound Nouns
Compound nouns are words where two nouns have been stuck together to make a new noun. Compound nouns should be written as one word, without a hyphen.
There are many different brands of toothpaste.
tooth + paste = toothpaste (a compound noun)
Polishing the silver candlesticks is a dull chore.
We make chocolate cupcakes for the party.
When we moved, we had a whole truckload of furniture.
