How long have you worked at Grammarly?

What is the best thing about working at Grammarly?
Boundless ownership, accountability, and new challenges are all around and yours for the taking.

What is your favorite memory related to working at Grammarly?
It definitely has to be my first trip to Kiev to meet our Ukrainian colleagues and hear their unique stories. And, of course, when the team got me a scrumptious cupcake in celebration of my one-year anniversary at the company. They are almost as sweet as was the cupcake itself!

What is your favorite word, and why?
“Impactful” – because many dictionaries and spell checkers still fail to recognize it, but it’s so damn . . . well, impactful. (Gmail just red-lined it for me; case in point!)

What is the last book you read? Would you recommend it?
Linchpin, by Seth Godin. I would definitely recommend it. Read this book and never look at work the same way again. Gone are the days of the industrial assembly-line worker. Today is the age of the artist, the non-conforming improviser, the daring leader, the linchpin!

Do you live by any motto or philosophy?
Yes! Thomas Edison once famously said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Stick with this principle, and failure won’t find its way into your psyche. Works for me!
