#GrammoWriMo: The Plot Thickens

by • October 19, 2013

Grammarly recently announced an audacious #NaNoWriMo group novel project, #GrammoWriMo. With your help, we are aiming to publish a book that boasts the largest number of authors of any novel ever written.

(If you haven’t signed up, please do so before October 25, 2013. For those interested, here are the rules of participation.)

No serious group of authors can collaborate on a 50,000-word novel without doing a little bit of pre-planning — or #NaNoPrep. That’s why the Grammarly team would like to thank the more than 1,000 writers who weighed in on the plot and character details of our group novel. By signing up to participate, or even in simply providing your feedback, you have set the gears in motion for a fabulous November.

Let’s take a look at what you’ve dreamed up thus far:

Narrated in third-person, our adventure novel will take place in North America in the recent past. It will follow the story of an adult, female protagonist who slowly spirals down into darkness. However, with the help of a stranger, our protagonist will realize the error of her ways before it is too late — and she will avoid defeat.

To ensure seamless collaboration, and structure a shared vision of the story, the Grammarly team is opening a second survey to nail down some extra ‘deets. Our powerful protagonist waits for her adventure to unfold; help write her fate by filling out the final #GrammoWriMo plot survey.

Thanks for helping us gear up for #GrammoWriMo — and don’t drink too many pumpkin spice lattes!
