It's spelled 'ferocious'. If your word processor doesn't spell check, you can always search to find the correct spelling, or you can learn to use a dictionary.
The grammar is fine in your sentence.

I saw a *ferocious* bear.
You don’t need "looking.” How does a bear look ferocious when it’s not fighting? Does a bear look ferocious when it’s eating berries? No. My point? A bear is not always ferocious-looking.
