Which noun is correct to complete this sentence.

Most of the ______ land was full of trees.

A. colonys'

B. colonie's

C. colonys's

D. colonies'

Tolley is right, none of these are correct.  If you mean the lands that belong to multiple colonies, then D would be the correct possessive form.  However, other parts of the sentence would need to be corrected.


Most of the colonies' lands were full of trees.
