Who's the next? VS. Who's next?
You're the next. VS. You're next.
I think that we can use the next or next for the same meaning in the same context sometimes. What do you experts think? Thank you so much as always and have a good day.

If 'next' is used as an adjective, as in 'You are the next person in line', 'the' is appropriate. If 'next' is used as a noun, as in 'You are next in line', no article is needed. It would not be wrong, however, to say 'You are the next in line.'
