Incomplete Comparison ?
I do not understand what is wrong with this sentence.
See example:
Johnny expressed a desire to gain more experience working in food service.

If I understand correctly, the software is flagging this as an error. It really isn't a grammatical error, but the software sees the comparative 'more' and wants to also see what it is being compared to, which your sentence doesn't have. You have to accept the fact that no computer program is going to be perfect, but, from what I understand (I'm not a user), Grammarly is very good. Your sentence is fine as is.
