sentence structure
Is there anything wrong with this sentence ?
See example:
The effect is incorrect.
2 answers
Your sentence is grammatically correct, but is logically wrong.
Effect means a change that is a result or consequence of an action or other cause. An effect is real, and reality cannot be incorrect. Reality is value neutral -- it is neither right nor wrong, correct nor incorrect. So an effect can be unexpected, but it cannot be wrong.
I hope this helps.
