We need to realize that the processed food has added salt so maybe no salt is required for the taste. Or perhaps people need to flavor foods with the other wonderful spices available to us.

We need to realize that processed food has added salt, so maybe no additional salt is required for serving. Or, perhaps, people need to flavor foods with the other wonderful spices available to us.
1) You don't need to use 'the' with abstract nouns.
2) I think this is what you meant to say.
3) This needs to be separated from the sentence with commas.
