Weird list question
I want to state a list in my CV, here is my best attempt so far:
• Industrial experience in Dairy; Oil and Gas
However I don't think the semi-colon is correct. Oil and Gas is being refered to as one item, as per usual when someone talks about that field. So it's the same as saying I like apples and oranges, except replacing oranges with Oil and Gas. Two 'and's looks stupid though.
I see your dilemma Rupert. Is there something additional that you can add to each of the two items listed that will allow the ands to not get confusing by separating them a bit more? Here is an example of what I mean:
Industrial experience in oil and gas refinement, and dairy farming equipment.
Dairy, oil, and gas are not proper nouns, so they should not be capitalized.
