'so' or 'such'
Can the adverb 'so' be folllowed by a plural noun?
See example:
So powerful earthquakes moved the earth 10 inches off the axis.

Such is followed by nouns, as in such a sunrise or such success or such performances.
So is followed by adjectives, such as so expensive or so important.
So your choice should be such powerful earthquakes or the singular form, such a powerful earthquake. Powerful is an adjective.
