A literature review was done that looked through various journal articles, books, Internet home pages, manual works, and other studies based on Human resource principles.
You cannot remove the passive voice if you cannot mention who did the literature review. To get rid of the passive voice you would need to write a sentence like:
'I reviewed the various literature based in HR principles. "
