It seems to me that you have only listed one category (Type A) and then explained characteristics of that type. In that case, you have not completed your sentence. If you include the name of the type along with a brief explanation, you would put semi-colon's between the items on the list to help avoid confusion. Since each type is a bit complicated to explain, you might want to just list the names of each type and then use three more sentences to describe the types.
