Which is correct? Please explain the reasons if any
I don't have a car and I don't want one as well. I don't have a car and I don't want one either.
I always feel ashamed when I have to speak in public. I always feel embarrassed when I have to speak in public.
Sanjay, I agree with Lewis that embarrass is better than ashamed, but nervous may be a better choice than either one.
You should only be ashamed in public when you have done something wrong that is shameful. This includes actions that are legally or ethically wrong.
There are other wrongs that can be embarrassing. Wearing two different colored socks or forgetting to pull up the zipper on your pants is embarrassing. You might become embarrassed after speaking in public if you stammered or dropped your note cards all over the floor. But leading up to the event you haven’t done anything embarrassing yet, so you are probably nervous or even anxious.
