Which tense?

Dear Sir

When describing a flow chart they use sentence such as " The notification is sent" or " The money is received". Can you please explain which tense is this and why this tense is used.

My second question is : They also use sentences such as " The money is beinh received" or the notification is being sent", what is the difference in using these form of sentences to the above one?

And how does it affect the meaning of the sentence?

Thank You

Tashi

All the sentences you gave are in passive voice.

The first set of sentences follows the simple present tense while the second one present continuous tense.

The second set tells about the action not completed but in progress at the time of mentioning while the first one tells about the completed action hwever istead of simple present construction I would prefer to use present perfect:

" The notification has been sent" or " The money has been received"
