1st sentence: grammarly says this is a squinting modifer. 2nd sentence: is "at noonday" OK?

Once, on His way to Galilee, He walked through Samaria and stopped at Jacob’s well to rest.  There, at noonday, a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus asked her for a drink.

I think the software is misreading the first sentence; I don't see a problem with it. 'Noonday' is fine. It's a bit archaic, but in the context it fits well.
