Finding the correct sentence ?

Please help find the correct sentence :

 

1-"The processing of separations of the referred cases were delayed on account of late receipt of resignation requests"

 

OR

 

"The processing of separations of the referred cases were delayed on account of late receiving of the resignation requests"

 

2- "Non-receipt of complete set of relevant artifacts" OR "Not receiving the complete set of relevant artifacts"

In your first sentence, neither example is correct. The subject is the singular 'processing', and this should use the singular passive verb 'was delayed'. I would make further changes to the sentence to make it read somewhat smoother.

 

The process of separating the referred cases was delayed because of the late receipt of resignation requests.

You could also eliminate the first three words without changing the meaning.

 

Separating the referred cases was delayed because of the late receipt of resignation requests.

 

In your second example, I prefer the following phrase.  I don't have the full context, but you probably want to use 'facts' rather than 'artifacts.' Check out the definitions of both and see which one you actually mean to use.

 

Not receiving the complete set of relevant facts...
