tenses question

Hi all, can anybody tell me whether the tenses that i used 'in bold' is correct or not. I am confused. The research was done way back but i want to tell that the facts are valid and current, can i use present tense.

"As for analytical model, Boehm (1966) proposed ‘circular ring model’ to simulate tyre vibration characteristics. Kropp (1989) measured vibration of stationary smooth tyre and compared it with that of a 2-dimensional circular ring model. The model prediection results were shown to agree well with the measurement data from 0-400 Hz. It was illustrated that tyre tread behaves like a string under tension for <250 Hz while between 250 and 400 Hz, its behaviour is more like a beam. For more than 400 Hz to 2000 Hz, its behaviour is similar to that of a flat plate (2-dimensional bending waveguide). Additional conclusion from the author was that at high frequencies and small excitation area, the local stiffness plays an important role to the input admittance."

Below, I offer a few minor corrections and (I hope) improvements. Additions are in bold. <> indictes something was remove or relocated.

"<> Boehm (1966) proposed a ‘circular ring <>’ analytical model to simulate tyre-vibration characteristics. Kropp (1989) measured vibration of a stationary smooth tyre and compared it with <> a 2-dimensional circular ring model. The model's predicted results were shown to agree well with the measurement data from 0-400 Hz. It was illustrated that tyre tread behaves like a string under tension for <250 Hz, while between 250 and 400 Hz, its behaviour is more like a beam. For more than 400 Hz to 2000 Hz, its behaviour is similar to that of a flat plate (2-dimensional bending waveguide). <> Kropp also concluded <> that at high frequencies and small excitation area, the local stiffness plays an important role to the input admittance."

I hope this helps.
