Proper pronoun


In answer to "Is Barbara there"? Is the correct form 'this is she' or 'this is her'?

'This is she.' is the correct pronoun usage. The linking verb 'is' will use the nominative case of the pronoun on both sides of the verb.

It is I.

It is he.
