This is a sentence in my paper. How can I make it clearer?


Unpaid internship have been around for years, any person who wants to work in the white-collar career field, has been tasked to deal with internships that are not paid.

The first comma should be a period.  The rest is a second independent clause.  It does not need a comma either.  But it is very awkward.  How about this:


Internships for white collar jobs have traditionally been unpaid.
