I would probably go with the second one, Susan.  But let me give you some food for thought. 

 

I'm going to argue that your statement is not true.  Most people are actually followers, not leaders. Though humans have free will, most people will generally follow social norms, rules at work, and laws of the land.  So isn't the tendency of humans not to go our own way?  If most people tended to do whatever they wanted to do, there would be anarchy.
