Is this sentence correct? Is the "how" OK?
Jesus knew everything about the woman, and how she had been married 5 times and was currently living with a man that was not her husband.
No, I would not use "and how" in this sentence. He knew everything about her, right? "And" indicates you are adding two more things to everything. So - he didn't really know everything? "How" means that he knew the manner in which she had been married five times. Granted, if he knew everything, he would know how. But I think the point you are trying to make is that he knew the fact that she had been married five times, not how it happened. Here are a couple ways I might fix this.
... about the woman, including that she had been ...
... about the woman - that she had been ...
