Fine, Usha, how are you? You're glowing as it were. What's special? Is the response underlined in bold correct? If it is correct, what do you mean by "as it were?"
Not really. We use "glowing" to refer to skin that's warm and healthy, so that's all right. However, we use "as it were" to make something we've just said less definite or exact, eg, She was the mother of the class, as it were.
What this means is, of course, she wasn't the mother, but she behaved like one.
