Should this be commercials like "this" or "these" . Is "into" correct?
Dressed to kill, a young lady stepped into a luxary automobile and drove off into the sunset. Frankly, commercials like this make my life seem dull, as if I'm missing out on something.
These is the plural form of this. You are using the pronoun to stand in for the one example of a commercial that you described in the previous sentence. Though the second sentence talks about multiple commercials, you are saying that the multiple commercials are like this one as previously described.
