Sentence Clarity and Grammar


Is this sentence clear in meaning? How do you understand it? Any grammar mistakes? Any better expression? Thank you.


"This is a superficial assessment to say the least."

You need a comma after assessment. The meaning of the sentence is that there is a whole lot more that could be said, and the very minimum thing that needs to be said is that the assessment is superficial. If that is what you mean, then it is clear.
