Which is the correct sentence and why?
Every four years the World Cup is held. OR Every four years the World Cup is being held.
I have to disagree with Sanjay, though I can't properly explain why. Perhaps a teacher will offer an answer.
Don't forget the comma after the introductory clause. World Cup is the proper noun, so both words are capitalized.
Every four years, the World Cup is held.
