Wordiness, caused by redundant categoreis


The question below was flag because of the category is made redundant by the specific word, period of time.





It might occur when first diagnosis or over a period of time.

Yes, "period of time" is redundant.


You can say "over time" to convey the same meaning with fewer words.


Also, "when" is presents a problem.  Suggest "when first diagnosed" (for the past tense) or "on first diagnosis".
