Proper sentence


Which is correct?1. She helped the blind cross the road. 2. She helped the blind to cross the road. Thanks.

Either is correct. The first sentence leaves out the 'to' in the infinitive, but it is still an infinitive. The term 'the blind' implies all blind people as a group, If she helped one blind person cross the road, use 'the blind person'.


She helped the blind person cross the road.
