I can't seem to make a clear transition from talking about Korean traditional values and their significance to Korean women in Korea.... to..... how these values shape korean immigrant women in the US even after they leave their native land

See example:

After researching the traditional roles of Korean women, the way immigration causes Korean immigrants to uproot themselves from their Korean national identity, the differences between American ideals and Korean values, and the identity crisis Korean American daughters struggle to understand, allowed me to answer my research question.

Double check the style needed for your research paper.  If there is a section in the paper that you are to explain how you went about your research, then writing in the first person is acceptable.  Otherwise, you should write in the third person perspective.  One should be able to surmise that when you did your research, you found the answer to your thesis.
