The subject is an Emperor

Do you place a comma between the Emperor and their given name...e.g. The Emperor, Tsai Ming - or The Emperor Tsai Ming? (creative writing character)

You are using his name as an appositive.

Two commas are required if it is in the middle of a sentence.
