how do I make this sentence better

See example:

Our team had talent that could not be matched by any other teams in the state, we also had a strong bond between each and every one of us.

Option 1: Ours is unparalleled team; we also had a strong bond among us. Option 2: our team is unbeatable a with a strong team spirit. Etc.

I'm not particularly fond of the semicolon.  Though both independent clauses are talking about the team, I'd go with two sentences instead.   I would also change "any other teams" to "any other team" or "any teams".

You cannot join two independent clauses with a comma.

Use a semicolon.
