What is wrong?

See example:

It has been 60 years since Korea was divided into two different countries.

Your sentence seems fine as is. However, I couldn't figure out what is wrong in your sentence.

If we go into this knowing that there has to be some type of error, I might assume that "60" should be spelled out.

Two possible reasons:

Some people think that you should use the number and not the numeral when it is one word: "sixty".

Some people think that you should use the number and not the numeral when it is an 'estimated' time.  Is 60 years ago an estimate?
