Is the punctuation correct?

What I'm aiming for, is to be a man that he can still look up to, when he's a man.

There are punctuation as well as pronoun problems. I think a rewrite would serve you best. I'm assuming the 'he' in the sentence is your son, and you want him to look up to you even when he has grown up.

My goal is to be a man my son will look up to when he is a man.

I tried to edit this but it won't let me save my changes. I like this a little better.

My goal is to be the man my son will look up to when he becomes a man.
