Which is the correct way to say a team made up of freshmen players. Is it the Freshman Basketball Team or the Freshmen Basketball Team?
I have to disagree with Sanjay. In high school, we have a name for each grade or year: freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior. When you are talking about a group that belongs to just one of these grades, you do not make it plural. Examples are The freshman basketball team and Senior Prom Committee. If you are talking about the individuals, you would say the freshmen on the basketball team or the seniors on the prom committee. Note the capitalization differences.
