S1.  "What made you change your mind to become willing to relinquish the trophy and reveal the truth to the judges that you borrowed Edward from a friend in order to win the contest?

S2.  "What made you change your mind to relinquish the trophy and reveal the truth to the judges that you borrowed Edward from a friend in order to win the contest?"

Q1.  Please comment which sentence is better when S1. is exactly what the writer is trying to say.

Q2.  For S2, would it be a bit ambiguous that if the writer means becoming willing to relinquish the trophy or the opposite?

Sentence Two is good as it is. No, it is not ambiguous because of the implied action "to become willing" when you say "...made you change your mind to relinquish...."  it is saying the exact same thing, just less wordy.
