Uppercase after a quotation mark?
Which of these are correct?
“This is a good day.” He said. or “This is a good day,” he said.
Is it wrong to place the period within the quotation mark and then use uppercase (as in the first one) or is that a mistake?

"This is a good day," he said is correct. He said is the tag that comes after the dialogue, hence the use of the comma and the lower case h.
The tag can also come before the dialogue, in which case the dialogue would end with a period. He said, "This is a good day."
Hope this helps! : )
