Is "directory assistance" capitalized?

Not usually.  Only proper nouns are capitalized.  If directory assistance is part of aproper noun, it could be.


Dial 411 for directory assistance.  (This could be reworded as "for assistance with the directory" and is not a proper noun.)


The Directory Assistance Department is located on the fourth floor of the call center's building.
