correction on a verb tense
how can I change made and represent when both words sound like they make sense to me?
See example:
These figurines are usually made of ceramic and represent the characters in the story that is written in the New Testament of the Holy Bible.

You've chosen the correct verb tense. One way to manage this sentence is to shorten it:
"These figurines are ceramic and represent characters from one of the New Testament stories."
