Confused on were punctuation belong in this sentence

As seen through history, many of the top programs or organizations have, one way or another, been under the leadership of a successful coach.

 

Notice the italicized phrases that are separated by commas. The first phrase is an introductory phrase separated by a comma. The other phrase is called parenthetical expression, not essential, can be omitted. Now read the sentence without reading those phrases. It is still a complete sentence.
