HELP!!!!

I do not know how to fix this sentence i tried so many way to fix it and nothing seems to work.

See example:

1950 was a time of great fear for homosexuals Society was so worried about homosexuality that in 1953, President Eisenhower bestowed plenty of reasons to dismiss any federal employers that are homosexual.

Where's the full stop to indicate the end of the first sentence?

'bestow' is wrongly used here, in my humble opinion.

This is formal writing, so 'that' is out of place a s a relative pronoun. More appropriate would be 'who': '...who are homosexual.'

I agree with A Clil To Climb but would add that 'are' should be 'were'.
