Is this a good sentence
how could I almost for get, Amelia started receiving straight A's.
Oh and I almost forgot she started getting straight A's, and became a better student in school.
Oh, I almost forgot! She became a better student in school and started getting straight A's.
I would make it into two sentences to add a bit of emphasis. You don't have to, but you need some punctuation after "oh" and after "forgot." I personally would switch the order of getting straight A's & being a better student, as usually one first becomes a better student and then the good grades follow.
