avoiding passive voice

-1

I am struggling with passive voice. For example, the following sentence uses passive voice and I am unsure how to rewrite it.

See example:

Evaluation is critical to determine if the new system is utilized as intended and provide the outcomes as projected through rigorous evidence (O'Carroll et al., 2003).

Passive voice is not a grammatically incorrect construction.  Grammarly highlights it as a suggestion to remove if not necessary or if it is unclear.

Your sentence is fine, especially since changing it to the active voice makes the sentence more wordy and adds unnecessary information.  Se below for the sentence in active voice:

Evaluation is critical to determine if the users are utilising the system as intended and to provide the outcomes that rigorous evidence projected.

--- Definitely more wordy and confusing.  Keep the passive voice for this sentence.
